Three-Day Weekends

I love long weekends. It's a great feeling knowing I won't have to think about work for three whole days.

Last weekend was an especially good long weekend. Sarah went back to school in Charlotte last week and its been tough going a whole week with her being two and a half hours away. It seemed like forever waiting for Thursday afternoon so I could leave work and head down there. Once I finally got to Charlotte, we had a great time. We went out to eat together, watched TV together, and did pretty much everything else together. It was nice to be there with her again. My weekend in Charlotte was such a nice, relaxing time that I hated to leave on Sunday. It's hard leaving Sarah knowing that it's gonna be five days til I get to see her again.

On the bright side, I have another three-day weekend coming up. This Friday I'll be heading to the beach to spend Labor Day with all my friends, most importantly, Sarah will be there with me. So, I guess anytime you get two three-day weekends in a row is a good thing.

What a great Summer!

Well Folks, Summer is over. It's been a good few months, made some money, and had some fun. Now its time for me to quit my job, pack up my stuff and head back to Charlotte for another wonderful semester of shenanigans and tomfoolery. What's that you say? I graduated?!?

Crap, does that mean I have to stay at this job, wake up early every morning (for the rest of my life) and I never get to go back and be the wild and crazy person I once was? Well, I guess that's just something I have to live with. It wouldn't be SO bad if Sarah was at least still going to be here, but alas, she IS going back to school.

All is not lost though, I enjoy my job, I still get to see Sarah every weekend, and my new car is the phattest thing since P Diddy changed his name to Diddy. Anyway, its been a great summer and here's to a great fall.

New Car, Part 2

Got a new car yesterday. A sexy 2005 Honda Accord Coupe V6 Special Edition. Long name I know, but as a proud new father, I have to show my pride. My first love will always be my '97 Wrangler, but with it getting up in the years and starting to show signs of perhaps too much "tough love", I needed to get a new more reliable car. I swore I wouldn't get emotional so I'll move on to the new car.

Interesting facts:

  1. This is the first car I've ever owned with power windows and locks

  2. This is the first automatic I've ever owned

  3. This is the first CAR I've ever owned (not SUV or truck)

  4. This CAR has more horsepower than any of my previous "trucks"

  5. Lastly, this is the most expensive car I've ever owned

So, as you can see, this is a huge departure from the norm for me. This car is powerful, agile, and comfortable. Features included in none of my previous cars, with the exception of the Jeep which is powerful. I have a feeling my new coupe and I will be very happy together.

ps. Test drives will be given evenings from 6 - 7:30. The price is $5.

pps. I am looking for cool names for my new ride. I don't want to end up with Slime Ball like my last car, so please come up with something good. To get you started, its two-door, graphite pearl color, and fast.

Enjoy, Search Engines

I've come to realize that my blog is not the most popular in the world. Is it because I only advertise it to the people I know on Instant Messenger, about 10 people, or is it because the search engines are not friendly to me. Well, nothing I can do about the number of "Buddies" I have, so I guess I'll try to help out the search engines. Here goes:

sex, sex, boobs, boobs, carmen electra, paris hilton, sex, sex, boobs, boobs

Well technorati, I hope you like it.

p.s. If anyone actually gets to this blog by searching above words, please send me a comment. It will make my day.

New Car

Well, it looks like I'm finally gonna have to break down and get a new car. My jeep is starting to become unreliable and I'm not sure how much longer it'll last. I'm heavily leaning towards the Acura RSX but I thought I'd see what opinion my throngs of loyal followers had. I'll update you when I make my final decision. Also, what's everyone's opinion on leather vs. cloth. I think leather looks more sporty and refined, but it does hold heat. What about durability?

Broken Glass

What's the one thing that can ruin a perfect evening in someone else's house, eating someone else's food, and sleeping in someone else's bed? You guessed it! Breaking someone else's champagne glass after having a few too many drinks from said champagne glass. What's the big deal, you ask? This particular champagne glass happens to have the word Spiegelau etched on the bottom of it. What the heck does that mean? Google told me it was a fine crystal glass that just so happens to be hard to find and only sold in packs of six. Dangit! So, an otherwise wonderful night of dinner, relaxing, and hanging out together turns into a BIG headache of trying to find some obscure champagne glass in Raleigh before ole John and March-a-Something find out. Oh well, we showed them! We royally screwed up all the settings on their fancy thermostat. AH-HA! Take that, John and March-a-Something!

First NFL Game

So, tomorrow is the first NFL game of the season!! Sure its not any of my favorite teams, and its in Tokyo, and its at 5 AM, and its the first preseason game of the year ... but its still football and I'll be watching it ... er ... TiVo'ing it. I'm predicing right now for the whole world to read, and by world I mean the one or two of you that have read this blog, that this first game, Indy vs. Atlanta will be the two teams fighting it out in Detroit on February 5th. The two favorites, New England and Philly will falter and fail. Both teams WILL be gone by the end of the postseason week two. So, what are everyone else's picks for Super Bowl. I want to hear them. If anyone's right, I'll buy them dinner. Two catches, you only get one guess and I have to know you. Sorry random blog surfer bored enough to read my blog. Anyway, so its def. Indy vs. Antlanta for me. Or, if its not them, it will be Cleveland vs. NY Giants and it will be the biggest landslide victory ever as Big Blue goes down in flames to Big Brown. ;)

Back Again

I think I'm officially the most lazy blogger ever. It's been only a few days shy of a year since my last post. Since the popularity of blogs has taken off, I've decided to jump (back) on the bandwagon. Or could it be that blogging is just the perfect diversion from work (I haven't posted an update since I left IBM and now I'm back). Anyway, you can expect great things from me in the future on this blog.

So, lets talk about what's on everyones mind, football. I of course think the Cleveland Browns are the best football team in the world. This thinking comes from last season's stellar 4-12 record, a tough feat for any team. Seriously though, they've purged their entire team and have started over from scratch. I don't Super Bowl's in their near future, but I'm hoping for meaningful December football.

So, if anyone actually reads this, let me know what you think of the Browns or any other team. I'll be happy to rant about any of them.

Go Browns! Only 36 more days til Opening Day!
